Cost of LivingEach quarter ACCRA compares the relative after-taxes cost of living in more than 300 major U.S. cities and then compiles reports on each based upon an index system in which 100 represents the national average. An index value below 100 means that a city’s cost of living is below average, while a number above 100 means costs are above average. The higher the number, the more expensive it is to live in a given city. According to a 2008 report by the American Chamber of Commerce Researchers Association (ACCRA) the average cost of living in Green Bay is 8.1 percent below the national average. |
