TravelMaybe one of the nicest things about living in Green Bay is the ease of traveling in and around town. Greater Green Bay is ringed by an outer beltway, consisting of Highway 41 and I-43 and linked by Highway 172, an intra-urban freeway. Investment in these wide, high-volume routes has helped us avoid the traffic congestion plaguing other cities. On the vast majority of days, traffic moves along freely and easily. In fact, it usually takes no more than 15-20 minutes to travel from anywhere on one side of the metro to anywhere on the other. So, whether you’re trying to get to work on time or just want to take a leisurely drive to check out the area, you won’t dread using our roadways. But what if you’d rather skip the driving altogether? That’s easily done too. Our mass transit system is a model of clean efficiency. Catch a bus from Green Bay Transit at any one of hundreds of spots around the area and ride it to work, shopping destinations, the NEW Zoo, Bay Beach Amusement Park or nearly anywhere else you’d like to go. Or, grab a cab if you prefer. Green Bay is also home to an international airport, with links to all major hub cities and many other destinations. Best of all, it’s a breeze to get through compared to what you may be used to. However you move around or in and out of Greater Green Bay, the common theme is ease and convenience. |
